I cant believe the critic for this site gave this movie 4 stars I'm being perfectly honest when I say that this was worst movie I have ever seen. Period. This is the first movie review I've ever written on a movie, and I felt motivated to do so simply because this movie was so horrible in every single way. First and foremost, the two main leads, Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Bennet and Matthew Macfayden as Mr. Darcy, were both terrible in their roles. I'm appalled that Knightley received and Oscar nomination for her role. Her total interpretation of Elizabeth Bennet in general was horrible she acted completely ditsy and air-headed. As for Macfayden as Mr. Darcy, he was horrible. Like Knightley, he just seemed just to read his lines from the script. However, he read them in a monotone, without any expression or emotion at all. He was, overall, just terrible in this role. Other than the terrible acting and casting in this movie, the way in which the story was played out was atrocious. I mean, Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet meet two or three times for about twenty minutes, and in this short time, Elizabeth goes from admiration to hatred to love of Mr. Darcy. The same goes with the love story between Jane and Mr. Bingley. Character development and real relationships between characters in this movie is completely left out. Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy remain their uninteresting selves throughout the entire movie, and Jane and Mr. Bingley remain their brainless selves as well. The close relationships between Elizabeth and her father, and Elizabeth and Jane are barely even touched upon in fact, everyone in the Bennet household hardly have any real character interaction with each other. Overall, do NOT see this movie. At all. I'm sorry to have wasted 127 minutes of my life on this, the worst movie I have ever seen.
